Corona-protocol

Corona-protocol

As of Tuesday, April 28, we will start regular oral care in accordance with the guidelines of the KNMT and the advice of the RIVM. We work via a Corona protocol drawn up by the KNMT.

In response to the urgent advice of Cabinet to wear mouth masks in public indoor areas, we would like to request that you wear a mouth mask from the age of 13 when you visit our practice.

Before your appointment

  • We only work by appointment. Be on time, 5 minutes in advance, not before!
  • We will ask you the following questions to determine when and where we can make an appointment:
    • Do you currently have Corona?
    • Do you have roommates or family members with proven Corona?
    • Are you in home insulation?
    • Have you been cured of Corona less than two weeks ago?
    • Do you have cold symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, sore throat, difficulty breathing, what is your temperature?
    • Do you have housemates and / or family members with one of these complaints or an increase or fever?
    • Do you have a chronic disorder or a condition that has lowered your immune system? (see below for risk group)
    • Are you otherwise healthy and do you currently feel healthy?

When making the appointment, keep the following in mind:

  • If you have an appointment, we ask you to wait in the closed hall (max. 1 patient). Other patients must wait outside.
  • Make sure to bring your mobile phone, we will call you and ask you the above questions. If all goes well, the dentist will come to measure your temperature with a forehead thermometer. If the temperature is above 38, we request that you leave the practice.
  • Make sure you are clean
  • If possible, come alone (escorts, interpreters are not allowed to come in and must therefore wait outside)
  • Leave your jacket, bag in the car, if you come by bike, take as little stuff as possible.
  • Please note that you cannot use the toilet
  • We ask you upon entering to disinfect your hands with hand alcohol and then put on the plastic gloves. You can deposit this in the trash can at the outside door when you leave. Open the trash can via the foot pedal and do not touch the lid.
  • Touch as little as possible. We open the doors for you.
  • Patients over 70, or with reduced health (risk factor), can call the assistant for a separate appointment.
  • We wear extra protective equipment such as head shields.
  • Before your dental treatment, you will receive a cup with a hydrogen peroxide mouthwash (H2O2). You should rinse with this for 30 seconds. Any Coronaviruses present are thus removed from the oral cavity for a short time.
  • If you have drilled, we recommend showering and putting on clean clothes when you return home
  • In our practice, ALWAYS keep at least 1.5 meters away from other patients / attendees.
  • Our Spaces will be extra ventilated with clean outside air and the treatment doors will remain open during your treatment. This will make it feel a bit colder. Our apologies for this inconvenience.
  • Always follow the instructions of the staff regarding your presence in our practice.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
